Tug McGraw Foundation

Members of Team McGraw from across the country are training to complete the ING Philadelphia Distance Run while raising awareness and funds in support of the Tug McGraw Foundation.

The Tug McGraw Foundation was established to raise funds for pioneering brain tumor research, increase public awareness of the disease, and support college students who exemplify leadership and Tug’s inspiring “Ya Gotta Believe” spirit.

Over 300,000 adults and children annually receive a diagnosis of brain cancer, and the mission of the Foundation is to support research that will improve their quality of life in the physical, social, spiritual, and cognitive areas.

NF TeamChildren's Tumor Foundation - NF Marathon Team

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a debilitating genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow randomly throughout the body on nerve sheaths. NF occurs in more than one in 4,000 births-more than Cystic Fibrosis, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and Huntington's Disease combined, and many of those who struggle with NF are children.

NF TeamThe NF Marathon Team is a program organized for the purpose of supporting neurofibromatosis research and services. Volunteers on the NF Marathon Team participate in organized marathons and half-marathons all over the United States to increase public awareness of NF and to raise money to find a cure. The NF Marathon Team offers runners an outstanding opportunity to enjoy running in an environment that is welcoming, positive, and supportive, while raising money for a worthy and important cause.

The Children's Tumor Foundation is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure and treatments for NF. The Foundation spends over 75% of all funds raised on research, medical programs, public education and support services.

To join the Children's Tumor Foundation's NF Marathon Team to help solve the NF puzzle, call 1-800-323-7938 x251 or visit www.ctf.org/marathon
